beyond the fact that you have to understand that tesla has a 1500 stock i've been adamant about this for a long time ... all of that just basically comes up to one score 1500 in my opinion

True if TSLA trades at or above $1,500 on the pre-August-2022 share basis (equivalently $500.00 or higher after the 3-for-1 split) at any point between 2021-10-12 and 2024-10-12 inclusive. False if that level is never reached in the window.

The target was never reached inside the window on either an intraday or closing basis. TSLA's all-time high in the window came less than a month after the prediction (2021-11-04, $414.50 intraday split-adjusted = $1,243.49 pre-split, about 17% short of $1,500) and the stock then declined for most of the remaining window, trading near $218 at the deadline. Split treatment is unambiguous and matches the criterion (3-for-1 effective 2022-08-25). Worth flagging for the reader but not for review: TSLA did later approach the level after the deadline (post-split high in the high-$400s in December 2024), which is outside this record's window and irrelevant to the criterion as written. No conflicting evidence. No outcome value assigned. resolved_on set to the deadline, since a never-reached criterion is only determinable at window close.

Evidence of what happened

  • TSLA daily OHLC history (Yahoo Finance chart API, interval=1d, window 2021-10-12 to 2024-10-12, 755 trading sessions, split-adjusted): the highest intraday high in the entire window was $414.50 on 2021-11-04 and the highest close was $409.97 on 2021-11-04. On the pre-August-2022 share basis those equal $1,243.49 and $1,229.91 respectively. The $500.00 split-adjusted / $1,500 pre-split level was never reached at any point in the window.

    Evidence

  • The same API response confirms the 3-for-1 split used by the criterion: a split event with numerator 3, denominator 1, effective 2022-08-25 — so the $1,500 pre-split target maps to $500.00 post-split exactly as the criterion states.

    Evidence

  • Price at the end of the window: TSLA closed at $217.80 on 2024-10-11, the last trading session on or before the 2024-10-12 deadline (2024-10-12 was a Saturday) — equivalent to about $653 on the pre-split basis, roughly 56% below the $1,500 target.
