ETH never traded above $3,477 at any point in the window, against the $7,000 low end of the stated range. ETH closed the deadline day 2026-01-31 at $2,449.36 after a sharp late-January selloff.
Independent cross-check on Kraken (XETHZUSD daily OHLC): window maximum $3,448.32, also on 2025-12-10. Two unaffiliated exchanges agree on both the peak date and the level to within normal cross-venue spread.
